Gay Gardens
Hello future internet friends, it's your boy reporting for duty albeit late. It's been a hell of a few months and none of it good. Moving is a hard task for the most able bodied among us and I am anything but able bodied. My move was made much more challenging by my former roommates who I am glad to say are far the fuck away from me for good, but now I am stuck with the fallout: a body in severe collapse from ME.
It's not all bad news, though. I've begun experimental treatment for ME in the form of low-dose naltrexone. Naturally, insurance will not cover it, but it is somewhat starting to work. I was able to do a spot of light housecleaning yesterday, and I only needed to go to sleep for two hours afterwards, which is a win in my books.
You might notice that I have decided to change my blog name to Fae Wry Tales. This is because I realized I was being a numbskull where branding is concerned. You will still be able to look forward to dishy queer romance reviews, but I have decided to cast a wider net. You see, I'm working on creating a drag persona by the name of Fae Wry, and as I recover from ME, I want to do more content featuring that persona. It's very early days, and right now my chronic illness really only gives me bandwidth for short bursts of activity. If you're interested, please give me a follow @FaeWryTales and watch the chaos unfurl!
In the next few days, I plan on releasing my first book review (knocking firmly on wood against ME), but the full list I was planning on reviewing is going to be tweaked partially because my first danmei was hot trash and I love y'all too much to force it down your throats and partially because my brain is too feckless right now not to go after pure chaotic dopamine.
Anyway, if you're reading this, thank you. I look forward to writing for you and making art for you because you, gentle reader, are pretty stinking great. As my Dad used to say, nothing but love from the bend in the river.
